Me at the top of Squaw Peak (or is it Piestewa Peak?) on my third trip up. Woo hoo! Posted by Hello

Deserted structure in the village.  Posted by Hello
Awww, picturesque. This beach is where the Americans are building a new resort called Mango Bay. They haven't broken ground yet but are advertising that it will open in September. This resort site is directly next door to Namatakula. What a shame. Posted by Hello

Low tide. That's me.  Posted by Hello

Gorgeous Parrot fish. We read in our CDC pamphlet (after enjoying this fish) that it was highly advisable to avoid eating it. Oops. Posted by Hello

Toure gets hitched

I watch CNN’s morning news because I love adore Soledad O’Brien and TourĂ©. This just happens to be the most romantic modern love story ever.

Update from Fiji

Today is day 3 in Fiji, on the coral coast. We arrived at 4:30 AM Fiji time on 3/19. We completely missed March 18, 2005. Hope it was a good day. Upon arrival, Nancy from Island tours met us and arranged for a taxi, since we cleared customs by 5:15 and the first bus didn't arrive until 7:30. We had an Indian taxi driver (name escapes me) who was quite helpful. We stopped in Sigatoka for kava and he suggested that we also buy fresh bread for our host. We did this and also bought some piping hot cheese buns for breakfast. They were soooo good. After this we continued on to Namatakula, the first village we were to stay in. We had some trouble finding the house at first and were directed by a few children. OK must log off now more later.

(Can’t Believe) This is Me

I don’t know about “Rebirth” yet (I don’t think I am feeling it) but this song makes the album worthwhile. It’s so dramatic novela-Heart (that’s right, as in the 80’s chick group) fusion. Or it could just be an ode to my personal life at the moment.
